Feeding Westchester is a nonprofit hunger-relief organization based in Elmsford, New York, and a member of the Feeding America network. Founded in 1988, its mission is to nourish neighbors in the fight against hunger. The organization partners with more than 300 community programs, including food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, schools, and mobile distributions, to serve children, seniors, veterans, and working families facing food insecurity across Westchester County.

Each month, Feeding Westchester supports roughly 229,000 neighbor visits. In the past year, the organization distributed over 23 million pounds of food, equivalent to nearly 19 million meals. To meet growing demand, they recently expanded their warehouse by 12,000 square feet, doubling their storage capacity to hold up to two months’ worth of food inventory. This allows them to handle more perishable items like fresh produce, meat, and dairy, which they recover from farms, wholesalers, and retailers through their food recovery initiative.
